Troubleshooting
- Make sure that the turntable does not already have a built-in preamp in the turntable
- You would know if you did if your receiver or amp has an input labeled PHONO
- Ensure that the needle to the turntable is not damaged as this can cause the lacking in bass
- Check for visible damage such as jagged edges or bending of the needle head.
- You may also need to adjust the counterweight on the needle to better the audio.
- In order to do this, reference the manufacturer's guide to safely follow the procedure and not damage the needle in the process.
- Check to make sure the GND wire is tightly wound around the GND screw
- If you have a turntable with no GND wire, then it will not be compatible with the Preamp EQ
- Contact your turntable’s manufacturer to see if a GND wire could be connected
- Try adjusting the INPUT GAIN and MONITOR LEVEL knobs until the static/distortion is fixed
- Does this resolve the issue?
- Note that if the Clip Indicator light is blinking rapidly, you will need to turn DOWN the Input Gain level to avoid distortion
- Ensure that all cables are functioning properly
- Try using a different power source as the outlet may be outputting incorrectly
- Does plugging in a new power source resolve the issue?

How are the EQ knobs suppose to feel?
The PCB is located far in the bottom of the unit with a long stem.
The longer the stem, the more "wiggle" there is. However, the ends come through holes that also supports the stem. So while the top knobs bay not be as tight as the front ones, they're still firm.
