GGSVUSB100WTEW- Please try clipping the SonaVERSE USB onto the thinnest part of the computers screen.
- Can you fit the speaker to the thinnest part of your screen?
- Inspect the grips and spring mechanism for damage.
- Is there any damage to the clip or spring mechanism?
- If the SonaVERSE USB will not stay in place or can not open wide enough, the computer screen may be too thick.
- Does you computers screen appear to be too thick?
Please contact customer service if the troubleshooting above does not solve the problem.
- Computer volume or media volume may be turned down or is on mute.
- Does turning up the volume on the computer or speaker solve the problem?
- The music source on the computer is paused or not playing.
- Was the music paused?
- If the speaker is powering on but not playing audio or the audio continues to come from the computer speakers, the speaker settings will need to be changed.
- Click on the Apple icon in the top left hand corner of your screen.
- Select system preferences
- Select the Sound option
- Inside the sound panel, click on output at the top of the panel in the middle.
- Click on USB Audio Device to change sound output from Internal Speakers to USB Audio Device.
If using with a PC, if you are not getting any sound when plugged in via USB, please try the following:
1. Go to Start
2. Go to Control Panel
3. Sounds and Audio Devices
4. Under Volume Tab, where it says Speaker Settings, go to Advanced
5. In Advanced Audio Properties, select Laptop Stereo Speakers
If the above does not help:
1. Under Sounds and Audio Devices, go to the Hardware tab
2. Find the Speaker and select Troubleshoot
If you are trying to listen to music via iTunes, go back to the system preferences, and click on Quicktime.
- Inside the Quicktime settings change sound output from Internal Speakers to USB Audio Device.
- Go to Start
- Go to Control Panel
- Sounds and Audio Devices
- Under Volume Tab, where it says Speaker Settings, go to Advanced
- In Advanced Audio Properties, select Laptop Stereo Speakers
Please contact customer service if the troubleshooting above does not solve the problem.
- The USB audio connection cable is not securely plugged into an active USB port, inspect and unplug then plug back in.
- Does disconnecting the USB cord then reinserting the cord solve the problem?
- Trying plugging the USB cable into a different USB port.
- Does changing to a different USB port power the speakers on?
- Your computer may not be on or is in sleep mode.
- Was the computer off or in sleep mode?
Please contact customer service if the troubleshooting above does not solve the problem.
- Make sure that both the SonaVERSE USB and your device are adjusted to a loud enough volume level.
- Does adjusting the volume solve the problem?
- Verify that all cables are plugged into the proper ports and that your device completely connected.
- Does disconnecting any cords or removing from the dock, then reinserting solve the problem?
- Try using different audio sources to make sure the speaker is functioning correctly, and that the problem is not being caused by your audio device.
- Does the issue presist even if an alternative audio source is used?
- Many times the quality of your MP3, WAV, MIDI, WMV, MP4 or other music file can affect the quality of the sound being produced. Please make sure that your music file is to the quality you expect.
- Is the sound bad with all audio files or only some?
